LOS ANGELES (KRON)—California Los Angeles will soon offer segregated housing to African-American students, according to The College Fix.

The school is honoring the requests from those in the Black Student Union.

The students say they wanted to stop the racially-insensitive remarks by making the request.

“[It] would provide a cheaper alternative housing solution for Black students. This space would also serve as a safe space for Black CSLA students to congregate, connect, and learn from each other,” the demand letter stated.

The housing would be located in the Halisi Scholars Black-Living Learning Community.

CSU Los Angeles joins UC Davis and UC Berkeley in offering housing for black students.
