PITTSBURG (BCN) — Firefighters quickly put out a blaze at a Pittsburg home this morning after it was engulfed in flames, according to Contra Costa County Fire Protection District officials.

The one-alarm fire was reported at 7:59 a.m. at a one-story, single-family home at 28 Dimaggio Ave., Fire Marshal Robert Marshall said.

Marshall said crews arrived to find the home engulfed in flames, but were able to bring the blaze under control in 10 minutes.

Although the fire was promptly extinguished, crews have stayed at the scene this morning to search for smoldering spots in the home, Marshall said.

He said the fire displaced two adults and two children, who are currently being assisted by the American Red Cross.
