Firefighters are working to contain a five alarm structure fire in Vallejo Saturday afternoon.

Officials say the fire is in the area of Tuolumne and Cassady Streets. 

The fire started in the backyard of a single story home, which is a complete loss at this time, according to officials. 

Three nearby buildings have minimal damage. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Vallejo Firefighters Association first reported black smoke was visible around noon in the area of Tuolumne Street and Springs. 

Residents in the area have been evacuated.

People are advised to avoid the area of Tuolumne and Springs as crews continue to work in the area. 

According to officials, this is the second structure fire in Vallejo in the last six hours.
