MARIN COUNTY (KRON) — Cal Fire is battling a half-acre fire burning in Cascade Canyon just outside of Fairfax, CHP Marin said on Twitter.
The fire is happening off the Wagon Wheel trail at the Cascade Canyon Open Space Preserve. The closest road is Blue Ridge fire road, Marin County Fire tweeted.
No structures are threatened.
Firefighters are currently battling the blaze from the air. The fire is spreading slowly, according to Marin County Fire.
The fire is burning on “steep terrain.”
