WATSONVILLE (BCN) — A U.S. Coast Guard crew and allied agencies are searching tonight for a person who went into the water this afternoon off Palm Beach State Park in Watsonville and did not surface.
The Coast Guard was first notified of the missing person at 4:28 p.m. at Palm Beach State Park at 2660 Beach Road, Lt. j.g. Steven Dross said.
Coast Guard officials deployed assets from Air Station San Francisco and Station Santa Cruz Small to help with the search.
Santa Cruz County firefighters, paramedics and lifeguards are also assisting in the search, Dross said.
