SCOTTS VALLEY (KRON) – A credit card skimming device was found on a gas station pump in Scotts Valley, according to police.
The device was located at a gas station on Mt. Hermon Road, police said Tuesday.
A technician doing routine maintenance discovered the device inside a gas pump.
Cardr skimmers are used to steal customer’s credit card information when the customer uses their card to make a purchase.
The device was not visible to customers, police said.
The pump in question was serviced one week earlier and no device was discovered at the time.Bay City News Service contributed to this article
