WINDSOR (KRON)– A Hercules man was arrested this morning by Windsor police who was wanted in Contra Costa County for burglary.
According to Sonoma County sheriff’s Sgt. Cecile Focha, Officers were in a parking lot on Hembree Lane when they saw Anthony Monda talking to two people.
Monda suddenly fled and ran across the road and onto U.S. Highway 101. Deputies and the sheriff’s office’s helicopter arrived and
Monda ran across all lanes of traffic, onto the west side of the highway, Focha said.
Monda was seen running through a field and into a barn but surrendered without incident, He was arrested on a no bail warrant for burglary and related charges in Contra Costa County.
Monda was booked in the Sonoma County Jail for the warrant and resisting arrest, Focha said.Bay City News contributed to this report
