State Assemblywoman Anna Caballero’s Merced office was broken into and burglarized overnight, according to her campaign.
Caballero is running for State Senate.
Caballero’s campaign manager Ken Smith said computers containing voter contact information, precinct maps, scheduling details and thousands of doorhangers were among the items stolen overnight from the office on West Main Street.
“It is clear the break-in and subsequent burglary of Assemblymember Caballero’s Merced campaign office was conducted by a person or persons who have a vested interest in trying to limit our campaign’s contact with voters on Election Day,” Smith said.
