NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – One college student was shot in the head and two others were also injured during a shooting incident at a party near Tennessee State University early Wednesday morning.
It happened at a residence in the 3200 block of Albion Street around 12:40 a.m.
Witnesses reported a group of three people showed up at a party and were denied entrance. Shots were heard outside the party moments later.
An estimated 200 people were in the area at the time of the shooting, according to police.
The victims are between the ages of 19 and 20. They attend TSU, Middle Tennessee State University and Nashville State University.
The man who was shot in the head was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment and is listed in very critical condition.
The two others injured were taken by private vehicles to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are searching for three suspects described as three black males.
