SANTA CLARA COUNTY — Homeless shelters in the South Bay have extended hours starting Friday in preparation for upcoming colder temperatures. 

The National Weather Service anticipates temperatures into the 30s Saturday across the Bay Area. 

The weather agency issued a freeze warning earlier today, starting at midnight, remaining in place until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Temperatures are expected to be in the 30s and 40s in the Bay Area Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
