SONOMA COUNTY (BCN) — A man was pulled out of the water by a rescue boat crew in the waters off Bodega Bay in unincorporated Sonoma County Tuesday afternoon, according to the United States Coast Guard.
Around 3:30 p.m. coast guard personnel were asked to assist in the rescue of a man waving for help near a disabled boat roughly 200 yards off Doran Beach.
A boat dispatched from the coast guard’s Bodega Bay station retrieved the man from the water and brought him back to the shore for medical treatment of minor injuries.
Coast guard officials urged boaters to be prepared for emergencies by carrying safety and communications equipment and reviewing weather forecasts prior to going out into the water.
