SUISUN CITY (BCN) — Police in Suisun City are investigating a Wednesday shooting
incident after at least two unidentified people were involved in an apparent
shootout.
Officers responded at 7:45 p.m. to the 600 block of Chyrl Way on a
report of shots fired and discovered there were two crime scenes, the first
of which was in the 1100 block of Worley Road, police said.
A 33-year-old woman told police she was backing her vehicle out of
her driveway with her 11-year-old and 9-year-old daughters in the car when
someone fired shots at another person.
Two bullets struck the woman’s car, but no one inside the car was
injured, police said.
The suspect then pursued the intended victim south on Worley Road
and east to Chryl Way, where officers discovered the second shooting scene,
police said.
Police said it appears the intended victim started shooting back
at the suspect before both fled the area.
Officers recovered numerous spent 9 mm shell casings in the 1100
block of Worley Road and recovered numerous 40-caliber shell casings from the
600 block of Chryl Way.
Officers then responded to the area of Ricky Court and Marcia
Lane, where witnesses reported a suspicious person “punching” a bush, police
said.
During the ensuing search, police discovered a 9 mm semi-automatic
handgun and a 22-caliber revolver concealed in the bush.
There were not reported injuries in the incident.
