Two people are dead after they fell while climbing the Freeblast Route on El Capitan inside Yosemite National Park Saturday morning.
Officials have identified the two victims as 46-year-old Jason Wells of Boulder, Colorado and 42-year-old Tim Klien of Palmdale, California.
Park Rangers received multiple 911 calls reporting the incident around 8:15 a.m., according to the National Park Service.
The investigation is ongoing.
This is the second fatal incident in Yosemite National Park in a little over a week.
Last week, a hiker fell to his death climbing the granite cliffs of Half Dome in rainy conditions.
