SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against 30-year-old Kirsten Andereck, who is accused of hitting and critically injuring two 12-year-old boys in a Marina District crosswalk, according to Max Szabo with the DA’s office.

Andereck has posted $230,000 bail and will be in court next week, Szabo said. She has been charged with two felony drunk-driving charges, with one of those causing great bodily injury, and two counts of child endangerment with enhancements of allegations of great bodily injury.

It happened near the intersection of Buchanan and Bay streets, according to San Francisco police Officer Albie Esparza.

Andereck was driving a white Volkswagen Tiguan SUV and stayed at the scene of the collision.

The roadway was shut down during the investigation and reopened at about 11:30 a.m., police said.

Andereck attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory in 2001, according to yearbook records, and in 2004, when Andereck was 19 years old, she was a debutante at a Cotillion event hosted by the Cotillion Club of San Francisco.

Andereck also appears to have been a close family friend to the deceased comedian and Marin County resident Robin Williams, according to local media reports following his death by suicide last year.

The two 12-year-old boys are suffering from life-threatening injuries after being hit, but they are expected to survive, police said.

The two boys were walking to school and were hit in the crosswalk of the intersection.
