GRETNA, Nebraska (KRON/CNN) — A security camera rolled as a man broke into a Nebraska woman’s home as she slept.
A woman says she was asleep alone in her home early Monday morning when her security system sent an alert to her phone.
She watched live as a masked man rummaged through a package left in her entryway and then made his way into her den.
Police believe if it weren’t for the sound of an alarm going off the woman set before locking her bedroom door, the thief would have made off with thousands of bucks worth of property.
Police departments in the Bay Area say these types of crimes are more common during the holiday season.
They say scheduling a delivery time or asking neighbors to keep an eye out is a good idea.
