SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Cash Askew, 22, was one of the 36 people killed in the massive fire in the Oakland warehouse called the Ghost Ship.
Askew was a transgender musician from San Francisco who is one-half of the ‘goth-inflected duo’ called Them Are Us Too, according to the DailyMail.com.
The duo had released their debut album last year.
The label issued a statement about Askew, calling her “one of the most talented and loving people we’ve ever known.”
Many people took to social media to express their sadness of Askew’s passing.
