Car flees scene of major injury collision in San Jose

SAN JOSE (BCN) — A two-car collision in East San Jose sent multiple people to a hospital early Sunday morning, a police spokesman said.

Officers responded to a major injury collision between two cars on Alum Rock and Pleasant Ridge avenues shortly before 1 a.m., police Sgt. Enrique Garcia said.

Several people in one of the cars were transported to a hospital, Garcia said. An update on their conditions wasn’t available Monday afternoon.

The driver and passengers in the other car left the scene, according to Garcia.

Police haven’t identified or arrested the driver who fled, Garcia said.
