A car crash has taken the life of one person early Saturday morning in San Jose.

California Highway Patrol and San Jose Fire Department responded to the accident around 1:45 a.m. after they received reports of a car accident where a car rolled over.

Officials say a white Mercedes involved had four people trapped inside.

It was about 10 to 15 minutes before officials were able to get them free from the car.

Authorities say that all four were transported to the hospital where two were reported suffering from life-threatening injuries.

It was later reported that one patient has died at the hospital.

Officials say that the cause of the crash is under investigation with multiple witnesses.

Some told authorities that the ‘vehicle came flying off the transition road from northbound 17.’

Others said the ‘vehicle was struck prior to it flipping several times.’

CHP has announced that speed, alcohol, and drugs have not been ruled out and that the wet roads could have contributed to the accident as it was raining at the time.

The identity of the patients and other current injury conditions have not bee announced at this time.
