SAN MATEO (KRON) — A Caltrain struck a person near Belmont this morning, according to the transit agency.

Service has resumed, but trains are single-tracking during the investigation, according to Caltrain officials.

The No. 220 Southbound train struck the person who was apparently trespassing on the tracks around 8:30 a.m.

Southbound trains are delayed by up to 40 minutes and Northbound trains are experiencing delays of up to 30 minutes.  Current delay information is below.
