A California man living in a “well-disguised” treehouse is accused of stealing things from a nearby house and garage last month.

According to the Pomona Police Department, 56-year-old Mark Duda was living in what authorities described as a “well-built and modern treehouse” when he was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

“The treehouse contained many essentials, such as a fire pit, barbecue, and lighting,” police said.

The treehouse also came with a picturesque view featuring the San Gabriel Mountains and the National Hot Rod Assn.’s museum, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Police said Duda broke into a home in Ganesha Hills and stole several items back in April.

The victim was able to catch a glimpse of Duda as he was leaving with the stolen property and later identified him, leading to his arrest.

Duda is being held on $50,000 bail pending a court hearing, according to KTLA.
