Monterey County sheriff’s deputies have found a missing Oregon woman alive on Friday night.
Her jeep was found over a Highway 1 cliff in the Big Sur area, deputies said. A man and woman found her jeep and called the police.
Angela Hernandez, 23, went missing last week on her way to Southern California. She was on her way to a wedding.
Deputies tweeted just before 8 p.m. they found her white jeep with Oregon plates.
Hernandez is recovering at the hospital.
She was found with an injured shoulder, but she was able to walk, talk, and breathe on her own.
Deputies are still trying to recover her jeep.
Hernandez told deputies, she swerved to avoid hitting an animal in the roadway and survived by drinking water from the radiator of her vehicle.
