If you’ve eaten from a food truck or been to a street festival, you’ve already had something made in a small kitchen in a non-restaurant setting.

But as of right now, it is still illegal to sell food you cook at home in your own kitchen.

A new bill, AB-626, aims to change that by making it legal for home cooks to sell food directly to consumers.

Matt Jorgensen, Coordinator of C.O.O.K. Alliance, joined KRON4 to talk more about the proposed bill.
