A deputy in Tahoe played a game of hide-and-seek with a bear he found rummaging through a trash can.
A Placer County Sheriff’s Deputy caught the bear foraging for food at a Shell Gas Station.
Deputy Staley saw it as the perfect opportunity for a friendly game of hide-and-seek.
In the video, Staley doesn’t appear to leave his vehicle, but the bear seems fully engaged in the game.
Peek-a-boo! 🐻
This cute bear was playing hide-and-seek with Deputy Staley, who caught him on video at the Tahoe City Shell Station.
Friendly tip: please don’t engage the bears — they may look cute and fluffy, but they have real instincts! pic.twitter.com/4AReNow8Nm— Placer Sheriff (@PlacerSheriff) May 23, 2019
While the encounter was the most adorable thing, deputies warn people not to interact with the animals.
