A 3.8 magnitude earthquake hit Southern California near the Coachella Valley Wednesday afternoon.
The quake struck at 12:22 p.m. and originated about 8.1 miles north northeast of Thousand Palms, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
That’s located about 14 miles east of Palm Springs.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
