SAN JOSE (KRON) — A brush fire burning in the southern part of San Jose is now under control.

The fire broke out around 11:28 a.m., near the Silver Creek Valley Country Club. That’s near the area of Farnsworth and Courtside drives.

The fire was determined to be a two-alarm fire.

By 11:55 a.m., fire fighters with the San Jose Fire Department said that the fire had been extinguished.

“It was a very, very aggressive attack,” Munoz said. No homes sustained damage and no one was hurt. Only dry grass burned, Munoz said.

Fire officials do not know what started the fire, which may remain undetermined.

No injuries have been reported from this fire.

Fire officials haven’t yet said how many acres burned in the fire.
