SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A flight that left the San Francisco Internation Airport Monday night for London was diverted when 25 members of the cabin crew fell ill, according to officials.

British Airways flight 286 departed SFO at 7:41 p.m. and was heading to London when it was diverted to Vancouver, Canada.

The flight was diverted when members of the cabin crew “became unwell,” said a British Airways official.

Crew members were taken to local hospitals where they were checked as a precaution before being discharged. No passengers were taken to the hospital.

British Airways has arranged hotel accommodations in Vancouver for the customers and will book them on alternative flights as soon as possible.

It is unclear why the crew members fell ill at this time.

Statement from British Airways:

We are sorry for the delay to our customers’ flight but the safety and well being of our customers and crew is always our top priority.
