A violent brawl at a popular Texas chicken wing restaurant was caught on camera.

The fight started during the Texans-Cowboys game, and it landed several people behind bars.

Now, one man says he was arrested and wasn’t even part of the brawl.

Anytime Texans and Cowboys fans are near each other, some smack talk is expected but not exactly like this–a full-out brawl at the Bayou City Wings Bar in Baytown.

“The Texans fan was going to leave,” manager Max Thweatt said. “When he was leaving, the other group started talking, got argumentative. At that point, the bartenders asked them to pay their tab and leave. The next few minutes, we kept asking them to leave. Then, they started throwing punches. So, we called police.”

Among those in the middle of the melee were Michael Hopson’s sister and his girlfriend. Hopson says the women called him when the fight broke out.

When he showed up, he was caught up in the large police presence.

“I think I was here maybe 3 minutes, at most,” Hopson said. “Pulled up, got out the car, went to the front, got arrested all in 3 or 4 minutes.”

Another video captured by one of his friends showed Hopson on the ground, getting arrested. In all, seven people are facing Class C misdemeanor charges.

But Hopson says he wasn’t even there when it all went down.

“They definitely have to drop the charges,” Hopson said. “I didn’t do anything.”

Baytown police say that’s why there’s a justice system.

“Certainly, if he feels like he was wrongfully arrested or his charges aren’t just, the thing for him to do is to take it to court and fight his case,” Baytown police Lt. Steve Dorris said. “That’s what the court system is there for.”

As for Bayou City Wings, after this fight, all seven arrested have been banned from the bar.
