CONTRA COSTA CO.- Both lanes of state Highway 84 in Contra Costa County are blocked this evening following a vehicle collision, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP Officer Damian Cistaro said officers responded to a report of a red vehicle colliding with a silver Honda van two miles east of Interstate Highway 680 just before 6 p.m. Cistaro said the two vehicles sustained front-end damage and tow trucks are en route. A Sig-alert was issued at 6:12 p.m., he said.
Cistaro said he did not yet know if anyone had been injured in the collision. There is no estimated time for when the roadway will reopen, he said.
