The U.S. Coast Guard recovered the body of a missing man Saturday afternoon in the San Francisco Bay.
According to California Highway Patrol, authorities responded to an abandoned, stalled car on Bay Bridge west of the Treasure Island exit around 3 a.m.
Officers and rescue crews searched the area for the owner of the abandoned vehicle.
Around 2:42 p.m. authorities confirmed they found a male body in the San Francisco Bay near Chrissy Fields.
Officers believe the man was the owner of the abandoned vehicle and are ruling his death a suicide.
