UPDATE 9:33 AM – Search crews have located the body of a missing female jet skier in the Napa River Thursday morning, authorities confirmed.
The body of 48-year-old Kelly May was found at 7:42 a.m. in the water near the west bank of the river near the Brazos Drawbridge between state Highways 37 and 12, according to officials.
The investigation is still an ongoing but authorities say that the body shows signs of trauma.
NAPA (KRON) – Authorities are searching for a missing woman in the Napa River Wednesday night, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
The 48-year-old woman’s husband reported her missing around 10 p.m. Wednesday night after she did not return from jet skiing in the Napa River.
Napa County Sheriff’s Office began the search late Wednesday evening and has located the jet ski, according to officials.
The woman left her house at 8:15 p.m. evening.
The U.S. Coast Guard said they are actively searching for the missing woman near the Brazos Bridge.
Napa Sheriff has at least one boat in the river as well as Search and Rescue personnel searching on foot.
The U.S. Coast Guard and California Highway Patrol both have joined the search.
CHP has a helicopter and the U.S. Coast Guard has a helicopter and another boat.
