The black box from the flight has been found, Ethiopian Airlines has confirmed.

The black box — or digital flight data recorder — will provide the first clues as to what caused the Ethiopian Airlines plane to crash just six minutes after takeoff.

The flight’s cockpit voice recorder has also been recovered, the airline said.

The 157 passengers and crew on the Ethiopian Airlines plane that crashed Sunday were from a total of 35 countries.

A number of victims worked for humanitarian organizations.

An Ethiopia national worked for the aid group Save the Children. An Italian victim was one of the founders of the International Committee for the Development of Peoples.

A victim from France was on an official mission representing the African Diaspora Youth Forum in Europe
