SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – The case of the torso of Omar Shahwan being stuffed into a suitcase and left in front of a Goodwill store in January is being investigated as a homicide, according to police after the San Francisco Medical Examiner released its autopsy report Monday.
The 58-year-old Vallejo man’s headless and handless body was found dismembered inside a suitcase in San Francisco’s South of Market area on January 28th.
An arrest was made shortly after but the suspect, Mark Andrus, was later released. Andrus, Shahwan’s former roommate in San Francisco, later died after admitting himself to the hospital.
