MOUNTAIN VIEW (BCN) — Police are looking for the driver of a car that struck a bicyclist in Mountain View this morning, a police spokesman said.

Around 9:20 a.m., a man on his bicycle was heading north on North Rengstorff Avenue, where he was struck by a car turning right to Old Middlefield Way, Mountain View police Sgt. Saul Jaeger said.

The driver did not stop and continued heading east, Jaeger said.

The bicyclist suffered minor injuries, including scrapes and bruises, but did not need to be taken to a hospital. He was treated and released at the scene, according to Jaeger.

The suspect vehicle is described as a gold, older-model Ford Ranger pickup truck with two doors and a short bed, Jaeger said.

The truck may have marks on its rear passenger side, he said.

No description of the driver was immediately available.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Mountain View police Officer Dan Garcia at (650) 903-6395 and refer to case number 15-3046.
