SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Passionate football fans are willing to shell out an absurd amount of money every year to come to the Super Bowl and this year’s golden anniversary of the “Big Game” is no different.
Super Bowl 50 has driven up hotel prices dramatically to almost triple the normal rate within 10 miles of the arena. Fans can expect to pay an average of $380 per night for a hotel in the Bay Area, according to TripAdvisor.
The most expensive hotels are close to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara and in the Silicon Valley area, while the cheapest spots can be found further away like in Oakland.
TripAdvisor took a look at hotels in the area and put together a helpful list of the top 10 spots to save on hotels for the big game the weekend of February 6-7. Here are the best places to book a hotel in the Bay Area with how many miles from the stadium they are, and the average hotel price in the city:

Silicon Valley and the surrounding area is the most convenient location, but also the priciest:
