Authorities now know the name of the pedestrian who was killed in a hit-and-run collision.
Deputies have identified the victim as 46-year-old Ellen Alexandra Scott.
The incident happened around 6 a.m. in the slow lane of northbound Highway 101, just north of the Highway 580 transition ramp in San Rafael.
Scott was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say there is not yet a description of the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
