Oakland police have shut down 22nd Avenue and International Boulevard on Thursday afternoon as they investigate a Vallejo police shooting in the area, officers said on Twitter.
Vallejo police chased the suspects into Oakland, where the shooting happened.
No officers were hurt.
The suspect is recovering at the hospital.
The incident is connected with an active Vallejo police criminal investigation.
Drivers and pedestrians are blocked off from the area.
No other information has been made available by police.
