A Sausalito woman lost everything she owns after her home was destroyed in a mudslide early Thursday morning.
Officials say just before 3 a.m., a duplex on the 300 block of Sausalito Boulevard slid from its foundation down to Crescent Avenue.
Susan Gordon was trapped inside one of the units on the second floor, while the other was vacant, officials said.
Fire crews were able to extract Gordon around 4:30 a.m. and she was taken to a local hospital.
KRON4’s Justine Waldman got the chance to speak with her and says Gordon is doing well but has several bruises on her face.
She’s thankful to have made it out alive, but now she’s faced with the difficult task of starting over.
Gordon lost everything she’s owned in the mudslide, including her cat Peach, who’s missing.
A GoFundMe page was created to help her start the rebuilding process.
