San Rafael police are investigating a deadly shooting late Monday night.
It happened around 6 p.m. at Pickleweed Park in San Rafael’s Canal neighborhood.
Police had the entire park closed off as they gathered evidence.
Authorities say around 6 p.m. officers arrived at the park and found a young man dead inside a vehicle.
The man had been shot at least once, according to authorities.
Witnesses saw a man running from the scene after hearing gunshots ring out.
It’s not known at this time what direction he ran, or if he was from the area.
This is being investigated as a homicide.
There is no suspect description at this time.
