Police arrested three suspects on Wednesday in connection to a string of auto burglaries in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

According to the San Mateo Police Department, around 8 p.m. officers located the suspects after they burglarized a car in a “hot spot” area and began prowling in another.

As officers closed in, the suspects fled and led officers on a chase that took them across the San Mateo Bridge and into an unincorporated area of Alameda County.

After a brief foot pursuit, officers arrested 20-year-old Alexandria Chambers of Hayward, Anthony Dennis, 22, of Oakland, and Richard Hardman, 20, of San Leandro.

Police recovered several items from the suspects’ vehicle that are now under investigation.

The suspects were transported to San Mateo County Jail on multiple charges.
