SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) – It’s moving day!
San Jose’s Poor House Bistro relocated Saturday January 8th to Little Italy.
The New Orleans restaurant serves food inside a Victorian-era home that initially sat at 91 Autumn St.
That is until Saturday afternoon, when the home made a slow and steady trek to 317 West St. John St. in San Jose.
The public was welcome to watch the follow the house make its half a mile move.
A New Orleans band set up near the Arena Green park to celebrate as well.
Around 2:00 p.m., the Instagram account of Poor House Bistro posted that the house officially made it.
“It will still be some time before we open the doors here, but we will still be serving you our full menu and live music on our heated and covered patio at 91 S Autumn St.” the post read.
