SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – Restaurants and personal services are set to reopen for the first time in over a month… just in time for rainy weather.
Restaurants will have to serve their food out in the cold as they struggle to stay open during the coronavirus pandemic.
Vanick Der Bedrossian and his father were seen setting up their sheltered outdoor parklet on Fillmore Street in San Francisco for their restaurant La Mediterranee, which has been open since 1979.
“We knew the rain was coming so we are prepared. It’s an auspicious beginning fo us for sure. It allows us to do a soft opening. It’s only been three days so we have been working hard to gear up and get ready because this was very unexpected.”
Hair salons, barber shops and nail salons can also reopen today, but indoors.
