A Suisin City man was arrested Thursday for allegedly possessing child pornography, Fairfield police announced Saturday.
26-year-old Anthony Smith was arrested after a six-week investigation, according to Fairfield Police Department.
In late January police were told that someone was downloading child porn in the Fairfield area.
Detectives were able to pinpoint the activity to a home in the 1000 block of Murre Way.
In February investigators got a search warrant for the address, and found explicit images of children on several electronic devices, police said.
Officers did not specify what type of electronic devices Smith was using to store the images.
Smith was arrested Thursday and booked into Solano County Jail for possession of child pornography.
Further details about the arrest were not immediately made available.
