A Pacifica man who was found dead in San Mateo County earlier this week will be laid to rest today.

The Yemeni Consulate in San Francisco released a statement on behalf of the family of 32-year-old Abdulmalek Nagi Nasher thanking “all of the people who have sympathized with us and who have helped us.”

The family also thanked law enforcement “for their diligent work and efforts.”

Nasher will be laid to rest at the Fiji Mosque in South San Francisco at 1 p.m.

That will be followed by the burial to be held at 3 p.m. at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo.

Nasher was found dead Monday night on Skyline Boulevard near the El Corte Madera Creek Preserve.

He had been stabbed to death.

The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office has filed charges with the District Attorney’s Office against the suspect, 26-year-old Malik Dosouqi, in connection with Nasher’s homicide as well as the stabbing death of 31-year-old John Pekipaki, whose body was also found in the same area a day after Nasher.
