Oakland police arrest 2 and find multiple firearms in Sideshow vehicles

OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) — The Oakland Police Department is investigating illegal sideshow activity.

The incident happened last Sunday night in Oakland around 5:30 p.m.


Police arrested two suspects and found three firearms in participating vehicles. Four vehicles were towed that night, officers said.

Officials reportedly found three firearms in participating vehicles.

Approximately 200 vehicles and several hundred spectators participated in the event.

Sideshows, or a public show of automotive stunts, are illegal in Oakland, police say.

Police report that sideshow activity has led to severe injury and death in the past.

The investigation is ongoing, officials say.
