It’s a case of bullying at a North Bay middle school, and on Wednesday night, a family says the district is ignoring their son’s cries for help.

It’s happening at Lawrence Cook Middle School in Santa Rosa.

The boy’s mom is upset. She says they have had problems this year since day one. Last year, her son was in a different school and he had no problems at all.

The 11-year-old tells KRON4 there is a group of around 10 kids who are bullying him. His mom says her son is black and they are Latino. They use racial terms and homophobic terms.

She has gone to the school, and they have offered to transfer her son but transportation is not offered, and she doesn’t feel that her son should be punished for being the victim.

She says no suspensions or expulsions have been given, and when she met with the school, the principal didn’t seem too concerned.

KRON4 did reach out to the school district, and they tell KRON4 they are aware of the allegations and are investigating. They say they do not tolerate bullying.

They can’t talk specifically about the case due to privacy laws.

The family tells KRON4 there was another issue on Wednesday.
