A two-alarm fire at a residential building started on Friday night that Vallejo Firefighters responded to.

Firefighters say the fire was on the 100 block of Fairmont Avenue just after 8 p.m.

According to authorities, the fire was started by downed power lines.

“Downed energized power line created a unique hazard for emergency personnel, creating a structure that remained fully energized even after utilities were secured from the meter.”

The firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other homes.

Officials say that there were no injuries following the fire.
