AUSTIN (KXAN) –On the anniversary of her death on March 31, Selena Quintanilla is being honored and celebrated by fans across the nation.

The Tejano music star was born in Lake Jackson, Texas and died in 1995 in Corpus Christi where she spent most of her life. She died after being shot and killed by the president of her fan club.

Also in honor of the Queen of Tejano music, Lil’ Libros released a bilingual children’s book in Spanish and English about her life titled “The Life of Selena.”  You can purchase the book on their website or on Amazon.
