Plenty of sunshine calls for a beach day, but a horde of 200 elephant seals may have beat some of us to the punch.
Drakes Beach in the Point Reyes National Seashore was closed Thursday after the unexpected influx of seals took over.
The National Park Service says it hopes to reopen roads and the visitor center by Saturday.
They haven’t determined if the beach will reopen on Friday.
