Christmas is right around the corner and some families in need got a little extra help on Wednesday putting new, wrapped presents under the tree.
2,500 colorful wrapped presents greeted kids at the Service Employees International Union Local 1021 Office in Oakland.
All the gifts were donated, as was the time to wrap them up so nicely.
Families pre-registered in advance to get the presents.
If it was not for these gifts, kids might not get any presents under the tree.
Santa also made an appearance posing for pictures with the kids.
This is the first year SEIU hosted a toy giveaway.
Based on the success of all 2,500 presents being passed out, the union wants to make this a holiday tradition.
