EMERYVILLE (KRON) – Two major crashes in the East Bay snarled traffic on I-80 in the Berkeley and Emeryville area Tuesday morning.
At one point earlier Tuesday only one lane of westbound I-80 was open at the Powell Street exit due to the crash that involved an overturned big rig.
A second crash was reported near the Gilman exit in Berkeley not long afterward.
The crashes caused heavy delays going into San Francisco.
As of 9:15 a.m. all lanes have reopened.
